J Nelson Ramsey

J. draws audiences in with her relaxed stage presence and sense of humor, performing a wide variety of music including her own compositions, which range from evocative urban poetry and bluesy ballads, to reflective understanding of the nature of living as a part of society. An accomplished guitarist as well as vocalist, she crosses traditional boundaries of music and establishes a genre all her own with her surprisingly fresh sound and unique perspective.

Opening performances for many well-known artists including Barbara Higbie, Edie Carey,
Cosy Sheridan, T.R. Ritchie,
Margi Adam, Susan Herrick, Lucy Blue Trembley, Alice D. Micele, Ann Reed, Short and Watson, and The Flirtations to name a few, has earned her high praise.

J. Nelson Ramsey has written extensive vocal arrangements and music compositions for the University of Utah and Dixie College, and has won numerous state and regional song writing awards, including recently becoming a semi-finalist in the well-known Wildflower Festival in Dallas, Texas.

Following the success of her first CD “Just A Taste,”
a new CD release is due out in the Summer of 2007.
